Introduction

    Dr. Jing-Yang Jou received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University in Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.
 
    Dr. Jou is the Committee Member of National Science and Technology Council since 2022. He is the President and Kwoh-Ting Li Chair Professor of National Central University since 2013. He is the 13th President of Association of National Universities of Taiwan since 2022. He is the 9th Standing Committee Member and Convener of Joint Board of College Recruitment Commission since 2021 . He was the President of Taiwan Association for Institutional Research from 2020 to 2022. He was the 55th President of Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering from 2019 to 2020. He was the Deputy Minister of National Science Council, Taiwan from 2010 to 2012. He was the Vice Chancellor of University System of Taiwan from 2007 to 2010. President of the Taiwan Integrated Circuit Design Society (TICD) in 2007 to 2008. He was the Executive Director of National SoC Program from 2007 to 2010. He was the Director General of National Chip Implementation Center at National Applied Research Laboratories from 2004 to 2007. He was Chairman of Electronics Engineering Department at National Chiao Tung University from 2000 to 2003. Before joining Chiao Tung University, he was with GTE Laboratories in USA from 1985 to 1986 and with AT&T Bell Laboratories at Murray Hill, New Jersey, USA from 1986 to 1994.
 
    Dr. Jou received the distinguished paper award of the IEEE International Conference on Computer-Aided Design in 1990, the Outstanding Academy-Industry Cooperation Achievement Award granted by Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2002, and the Outstanding Electrical Engineering Professor Award from CIEE in 2006. He also earned Electrical Engineering Medal, CIEE in 2022. Dr. Jou research interests are broad and include logic and physical synthesis, design verification and CAD for low power and Network on Chips. He has published more than 200 Academic papers. He is IEEE Fellow (2005) and CIEE Fellow (2021).
