簡介

        Jiun-In Guo was born in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan R.O.C in 1966. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu city, Taiwan, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He is currently a full Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering, and the Director of SoC Research Center, National Chiao-Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He also serves as the Chair Professor in Department of Electronics Engineering, National United University, Miaoli, Taiwan since 2015.
        Prof. Guo has been the Director of Institute of Electronics, National Chiao-Tung University during 2013-2015. Before joining in National Chiao-Tung University, Prof. Guo was an Associate Professor of the Dept. of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chung-Cheng University, from 2001 to 2003 and get promoted as a Professor since 2003. Prof. Guo also served as the Director of the SoC Research Center, National Chung-Cheng University between 2005 and 2008, and as the Director of the Department of Computer Science, National Chung-Cheng University, Taiwan during 2009-2011 and the Research Distinguished Professor of National Chung-Cheng University since 2008. During 1994 to 2001, Prof. Guo served as an Associate Professor of the Dept. of Electronics Engineering, National Lien-Ho Institute of Technology, Miaoli, Taiwan. His research interests include images, multimedia, and digital signal processing, VLSI algorithm/architecture design, digital SIP design, and SOC design.
        Prof. Guo’s awards and honors include the MXIC Young Professor Award in 2003, Outstanding Youth Electrical Engineer award from Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE) in 2004 and Outstanding Research award from National Chung-Cheng University in 2006. He has received Outstanding Electrical Engineering Professor award in 2008 and 2010 from Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering (CIEE) and also received the Outstanding Engineering Professor award in 2014 from Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) in recognition of his contributions to R&D and service of Electrical Engineering. He is the author of over 200 technical papers on the research areas of low-power and low cost algorithm and architecture design for DSP/Multimedia signal processing applications.
